Our Story (History of La Visual in a nutshell)
Genesis of La Visual v.1.0
Two college roommates had a vision to reshape our digital world with better, more immersive digital products.
So, Brian, a LAMP stack developer and Braven, a Creative Director, Art Center dropout and product designer co-founded LaVisual.
Starting in 2006 with only a handful of small tech clients, La Visual had garnered enterprise clients ValueClick Media, Intuit and early tech brands AOL, Toshiba, MySpace, Hotels.com and IAC (Expedia.com and Citysearch) in less than a year.
v.2.0
In 2013, Braven ran into old friend Dain in a coffee shop. Dain’s company, Media Temple, had just been acquired by GoDaddy. Braven asked Dain to visit La Visual and help ideate some design work the agency was creating for Yahoo!. The rest is history. Dain never left and is now a primary shareholder and Chief Product Officer. He created more intentionality in our product design by applying human-centered concepts and lean methodologies to all services throughout the agency. This nurtured award-winning projects for FOX, Lincoln, Toyota, Discovery Communications along with Government agencies like the Department of Transportation, Dept. of Education and the Civil Rights Data Collection Division.
v.3.0
In 2023, La Visual acquired AtPlay Creative and its principal Creative Gary Smith as Executive Creative Director. This addition gave Dain and his team of product designers to augment Product design expansion with clients like Sagent/Mr. Cooper, Cooler Master, RocketMortgage, Disney, Hasbro and BBVA Compass.
Our expanded Management team powers a design-led agency model that enables our employees to holistically solve today’s gaps that exist within digital transformation.
